SASE / Zscaler
Also written as SASE, Secure Access Service Edge, Zscaler, ZIA, ZPA, ZTNA, Zero Trust Network Access, Netskope, Prisma Access
A cloud-based way of securing staff wherever they work: instead of sending all traffic back through the office firewall and VPN, users connect to a nearby cloud service that checks and filters it. Zscaler (ZIA for internet access, ZPA for private apps), Netskope and Palo Alto's Prisma Access are the leading products. ZTNA is the part that replaces the traditional VPN.
Think of it like
Security checks at every metro station, instead of one gate at head office that everyone must travel to first.
Junior or senior?
In demand as companies retire their VPNs for hybrid work.
Junior sounds like
Manages policies in an existing setup.
Senior sounds like
Has led a rollout or a move off the VPN, and dealt with the applications that broke along the way.
Ask them
“Were you part of rolling out Zscaler or a similar service? Which applications caused problems during the move away from the VPN?”

Where this talent works in India — Security Engineering
Target security-product vendors first and regulated enterprises second. Consulting and managed-operations firms supply volume, but produce far more report writers than engineers who can build or break systems.
For example: Palo Alto Networks, CrowdStrike, Cisco, Qualys, Zscaler, SentinelOne, Trellix and Skyhigh Security, Safe Security.
Where this talent works in India — Networking & IT Infrastructure
Target companies that build networking gear or run large networks and data centres themselves: equipment makers, telecom operators, data-centre operators and infrastructure-services firms. Help-desk-heavy outsourcing contracts use the same titles with far less design work, so ask who designed the network, not just who kept it running.
For example: Cisco, Juniper Networks (HPE), HPE Aruba Networking, Arista Networks, Extreme Networks, F5, Infoblox, Nokia.
