Angular vs. AngularJS
AngularJS (1.x, 2010) and Angular (2+, 2016) aren't versions of the same framework — Angular is a full rewrite with a different architecture, language (TypeScript), and syntax. AngularJS itself reached end-of-life in 2022.
How to tell them apart on a resume
AngularJS
References "$scope," "directives," "Angular 1," or "Angular.js" — signals an older codebase that hasn't been migrated.
Angular
References a version number (Angular 8/14/17), RxJS, standalone components, or TypeScript — signals a current codebase.
The question that settles it
“Which version — AngularJS (1.x) or Angular (2 and up)? They're different frameworks, not different releases of the same one.”
