Node vs. Deno
Deno was built by Node's original creator specifically to fix things he regretted about Node's design — a different module system, built-in TypeScript, a different security model — but it's a small fraction of Node's adoption.
How to tell them apart on a resume
Node.js
Near-universal — npm, Express, or any standard JS backend stack.
Deno
Rare enough to be worth asking about directly — signals either a genuinely new-stack team, or a side project/experiment rather than a production system.
The question that settles it
“Is that Node.js, or specifically Deno — and if Deno, was that in production or an experiment?”
