Tomcat / Application Servers
Also written as Apache Tomcat, Tomcat, JBoss, WildFly, WebLogic, WebSphere
Server software that Java web apps are deployed into and run inside. Tomcat is the lightweight common one; WebLogic, WebSphere and JBoss are heavier enterprise servers. Spring Boot now usually bundles its own server, so deployment into one is less common.

A shared office building that Java apps rent space in, versus Spring Boot apps that each bring their own building.

Typical in enterprise, banking and services companies. WebLogic/WebSphere administration is its own niche skill.
