HTTP Methods & Status Codes
Also written as HTTP Status Codes, HTTP Methods, HTTP Verbs
The basic vocabulary of web requests. Methods say what you want to do (GET to read, POST to create, PUT/PATCH to update, DELETE to remove); status codes say how it went (200 OK, 404 Not Found, 401/403 not allowed, 500 server error).
Think of it like
The request slip and the reply stamp at a post office counter: 'please deliver', and 'delivered' or 'address unknown'.
