Oracle Database
Also written as Oracle DB, Oracle RDBMS, Oracle 19c
The long-standing commercial database behind many banks, telecoms, governments and large enterprises. Powerful, expensive, and often paired with PL/SQL.
Think of it like
The heavy-duty bank vault of databases: trusted, costly, and not something you swap out casually.
Junior or senior?
Heavily requested in BFSI and services-company JDs. Oracle DBA and Oracle developer are different roles; check which one the JD wants.
Ask them
“Did you work on the Oracle database itself (performance, backups) or write code against it?”
