QA
Also written as Quality Assurance
The discipline of verifying that software works as intended before it reaches users, through manual or automated testing.
Think of it like
Like a restaurant's food taster checking every dish before it goes out to the dining room.
Junior or senior?
Junior sounds like
Describes their QA background vaguely as 'testing.'
Senior sounds like
Can say clearly whether it's manual, automated, or both, since the skill sets differ a lot.
Ask them
“Is your QA background mostly manual testing, test automation, or both?”
