React Compiler
Also written as React Forget
A build tool from the React team that adds performance optimisations (memoization) to React code automatically, so developers no longer have to add useMemo and useCallback by hand. Its first stable version came out in 2025.
Think of it like
A spell-checker that fixes performance slips as you write, instead of an editor marking them up afterwards.
Junior or senior?
Very new, so experience will be short.
Senior sounds like
Has switched it on in a real codebase and can say what improved and what had to be fixed first.
Ask them
“Have you turned on the React Compiler in a real app? What did you have to change first, and did performance improve?”
Reading React Compiler on a resume
- Common
- React Compiler narrows the field but doesn't prove depth on its own. The junior-versus-senior contrast above is what separates one candidate from another.
- Emerging
- React Compiler is new enough that few people have deep experience with it. Don't screen out a strong candidate for missing it, and be careful with big claims.
- Around since 2024
- Nobody can have more years of React Compiler than it has existed. A job description asking for more was probably copied without checking — worth raising with the hiring manager.

Where this talent works in India — Frontend & Product Engineering
Target companies where the interface is the product — design-led consumer apps, developer tools, and SaaS with a real design-system practice. Service-shop frontend work rarely builds component-architecture depth.
For example: Adobe, Atlassian, Postman, CRED, Razorpay, BrowserStack, Freshworks, Zoho.
