Stored Procedures
Also written as Stored Procedure, PL/SQL, T-SQL
Programs saved and run inside the database itself. PL/SQL is Oracle's language for them; T-SQL is Microsoft SQL Server's. Very common in banking, insurance and older enterprise systems.
Think of it like
Giving the warehouse staff a standing set of instructions, rather than phoning each step through from head office.
Junior or senior?
A real skill in enterprise and data-heavy roles. A PL/SQL developer is a distinct profile from an application developer who happens to know SQL.
Ask them
“What logic did you keep in the database rather than the application, and why?”
