MVP: Minimum Viable Product vs. Model-View-Presenter
Two unrelated meanings share the acronym: one is a product-strategy concept, the other is a mobile/UI architecture pattern — nothing overlaps except the letters.
How to tell them apart on a resume
Minimum Viable Product
Shows up in product, PM, and startup-adjacent contexts — "shipped the MVP in 6 weeks," "defined MVP scope" — often next to Agile/Scrum language.
Model-View-Presenter
Shows up in mobile engineering contexts, usually Android, next to MVC or MVVM — describing how a screen's code is structured, not a product milestone.
The question that settles it
“When you say MVP, do you mean the smallest shippable version of a product, or the Model-View-Presenter architecture pattern?”
