A link that opens directly to a specific screen inside a mobile app (e.g. a product page), instead of just opening the app to its home screen — or opening a web page if the app isn't installed.
Think of it like
Like a mailing address that delivers straight to one specific room in a building, instead of just dropping you at the building's front lobby.
Junior or senior?

Has only handled the happy path where the app is already installed.
Senior sounds like
Has handled what happened when a deep link was opened by someone without the app.
