Pulumi

An infrastructure-as-code tool where engineers describe cloud infrastructure in ordinary programming languages (TypeScript, Python, Go, C#) instead of a special configuration language. It works across AWS, Azure, GCP and Kubernetes, and is often chosen by teams who want developers, rather than a separate ops team, to own their infrastructure.

Think of it like

Writing the building plan in the language the whole office already speaks, instead of a specialist drawing notation.

Junior or senior?

Much less common than Terraform, and the concepts transfer directly between them.

Senior sounds like

Can explain why their team picked it over Terraform and how they tested their infrastructure code.

Ask them

“Why did your team choose Pulumi over Terraform, and would you make the same choice again?”
