Sales Cloud / Service Cloud
Also written as Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Community Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Health Cloud, Financial Services Cloud, Salesforce CPQ, Revenue Cloud
Salesforce's product lines for different business areas: Sales Cloud for sales teams, Service Cloud for customer support, Experience Cloud for customer and partner portals, plus Marketing, Commerce and industry clouds. Each has its own setup and specialists, so experience in one doesn't fully carry over to another.
Think of it like
Shops in the same mall: one landlord and one set of rules, but running the food court is not the same job as running the cinema.
Junior or senior?
Ask which cloud, because a 'Salesforce developer' may know only one. Marketing Cloud and Commerce Cloud are close to separate platforms.
Senior sounds like
Has worked across more than one cloud and on how they connect.
Ask them
“Which Salesforce clouds have you worked on, and what did you build or set up in each?”
Sounds like real experience
Names the clouds and something concrete they built or set up in each, such as case routing in Service Cloud or a partner portal in Experience Cloud.

Lists several clouds but every example comes from Sales Cloud, or can't say which cloud a feature belonged to.
Reading Sales Cloud / Service Cloud on a resume
- Table-stakes
- Most people in this field list Sales Cloud / Service Cloud, so its presence tells you little, and opening a screen with it can make the call sound junior. Ask what they built with it instead.
