Mobile Testing
Also written as Appium, Device Farm
Testing an app across the wide range of real devices, OS versions, and screen sizes it needs to actually work on, often using device farms (real or virtual devices in the cloud) rather than just one developer's phone.
Think of it like
Like a shoe brand test-fitting a new design on a wide range of real foot shapes and sizes, not just the designer's own feet.
Junior or senior?
Junior sounds like
Has only tested on their own device.
Senior sounds like
Can name a device- or OS-version-specific bug they caught that wouldn't have shown up otherwise.
Ask them
“Tell me about a bug that only showed up on a specific device or OS version. How did you catch it?”
