Agile Certifications (CSM, PSM, SAFe)
Also written as Certified ScrumMaster, Certified Scrum Master, Professional Scrum Master, PSM I, SAFe, Scaled Agile Framework, SAFe Agilist, PMP, Project Management Professional, PMI-ACP
Credentials for Scrum Masters, agile coaches and delivery managers. CSM (Scrum Alliance) and PSM (Scrum.org) are the two main Scrum Master certificates: CSM requires a two-day course, while PSM I is an online exam with no course required. SAFe certifications cover the Scaled Agile Framework, used to coordinate many teams in large enterprises. PMP is the main traditional project-management credential and requires several years of project experience.
Think of it like
A cookery-course certificate: proof someone learned the recipes, not that they've run a busy kitchen.
Junior or senior?
Quick to obtain, so low signal on its own, though some enterprises and clients require them. SAFe on a resume points to large-enterprise experience.
Senior sounds like
Talks about how they adapted the framework to a real team, not what the course said.
Ask them
“Tell me about a time the textbook version of Scrum or SAFe didn't fit your team. What did you change?”
