React Native New Architecture
Also written as New Architecture, TurboModules, Fabric Renderer, JSI, Bridgeless Mode, Hermes Engine
The rebuilt internals of React Native that let JavaScript talk to native phone code directly instead of through a slow 'bridge'. Its parts include JSI, the Fabric renderer and TurboModules, usually paired with the Hermes JavaScript engine. It became the default in late 2024 and the old architecture is being retired, so existing apps must migrate.
