AR / VR / Spatial Computing
Also written as AR, VR, XR, Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Mixed Reality, Extended Reality, Spatial Computing, visionOS, OpenXR, Meta Quest
Software for headsets and camera-based experiences. VR (virtual reality) replaces what the user sees; AR (augmented reality) overlays digital content on the real world; XR and spatial computing are umbrella terms for both. Apple Vision Pro (visionOS) and Meta Quest are the main headset platforms, and apps for them are usually built with Unity, Unreal or Apple's own tools.
Think of it like
VR is stepping onto a film set; AR is sticky notes floating over your real desk.

Senior sounds like
Has shipped on a real headset or an AR phone app and can talk about frame rate, motion sickness and tracking problems.
Ask them
“Which device did you ship on, and what did you have to do to keep it smooth and comfortable to use?”
